Prophetic Focus: SEASON OF SUDDEN VISITATIONS – Ps 126:1-6
Teaching
Series: Walking in
Financial Fortune (Part I- IV)
Introduction: King Solomon walked his way into financial
fortune through sudden visitation in response to His sacrifice. His sacrifices
of love ascended the heaven as a sweet smelling savour, while God in return
opened the heaven over the life of Solomon for supernatural fortunes- 1Kg 3:3-13. It
is time for all Winners this month to enjoy divine visitation for a
supernatural turnaround.

I) - UNDERSTANDING
THE COVENANT OF PROSPERITY
What is Covenant? A Covenant is a contractual agreement between two
or more parties. In this case, agreement between God and man. God’s integrity
is committed to make good his promise when man’s obedience is fully in place. – Ps 89:34; Jer. 33:20-21.
·
A covenant can also be defined as a deal enacted by
God based on well-defined terms and sealed with an oath. Heb. 6:13-18
·
The Covenant is God’s wisdom for empowering
believers for supernatural prosperity-Deut. 8:18, Matt7:24-25.
·
An understanding of the terms of the covenant will
open anyone up to the fullness of God’s prosperity plan – Job. 22:21-27; Philip. 4:15-19.
·
The Covenant is a walk with God and not a financial
game -
Gen. 17:1-8; 2 Chron. 15:1-15.
·
Seed time and harvest constitute the anchor of our
covenant walk-Gen.8:20-22; Gal6:7-9; 2Cor. 9:6-10.
NOTE: To enjoy Abrahamic order of blessings, we
need a working knowledge of the covenant and a commitment to the practise of
its terms. – 1 Tim. 4:7-8
PART

Fortune (Part
II) - UNDERSTANDING
WHY GOD BLESSES
God’s prosperity plan hinges
on the believer’s readiness to be a blessing.
Until we understand the
secret of being a blessing, we may never experience the fullness of God’s
blessings in our lives – Gen. 12:2; Gen. 22:15-18; Acts 20:35; Gal. 6:10
God blesses us:
* To establish His covenant (Deut. 8;18, II Cor.8:9, Gal. 3;13-14) *To enjoy abundant life – (I Tim. 6:17-19)
* To rescue us from
shame
(Joel 2:21-27, 2Pet1;3) *To promote the kingdom(Zech.1:17) *To use us to be a blessing
to humanity (Gen. 12:1-3;22:17-19, 2 Cor.
8;6,I Tim. 6:17-19)
NOTE: When we commit
to God’s purpose for blessing, His blessings continue to flow.

Fortune (Part
III) - UNDERSTANDING
HOW GOD PROSPERS
God’s
prosperity can be realised when we correctly position ourselves. God prospers
His people through the following avenues:
· Through
the Works of your Hands: If
you are not a worker, you are not a candidate for God’s prosperity. God cannot
bless an idle hand, no matter how fervent he is at giving.
- Ps 1:3; Prov. 14:23; Prov. 10:4; Prov. 20:4
*
Abraham – A Hard worker – (Gen.13:1-2) *Isaac
– A Tireless worker - (Gen. 26;1-14)
*Jacob – A Creative worker – (Gen.
30:37-43)
·
Through the Flow of Divine Ideas: For instance, in response to our tithes and
offerings, God opens the windows of heaven and pours out the rain of divine
ideas upon His people. This rain is typified by the Holy Spirit quickening our
minds with creative ideas that links us up with the flow of blessings - Mal. 3:8-12; Isa. 11:1-3; Gen. 26:18; Gen. 30:37-39.
Remember, the Spirit of God is the Spirit of wisdom
and wisdom is a vital force for wealth creation – the wiser, the wealthier.
·
Through Divine
Favour- (Ex3;21/12:36,Ps 105:37)
*At the root of financial fortune is divine
favour
PART
4 – Walking in Financial
Fortune (Part
IV) - HOW
TO MAINTAIN THE FLOW OF FINANCIAL PROSPERITY
· Be committed to
Kingdom Investment - Hag. 1:3-11; Job
36:11; Matt. 6:33.
· Be committed to
blessing the needy – Prov. 28:27;Prov. 11:24; 2 Cor. 9:10; Acts 20:35;
· Be steadfast in
your Covenant practise - 1 Cor.15: 58;
Acts 26:22.
What to Do:
·
Identify covenant opportunities around you for
investment - Job 29:4-17.
·
Commit to meeting such needs as you are able –1 Peter 4:11.
·
Enlarge your heart and increase your investment as
you see increases in your life – Deut. 16:10,17
NOTE: A kingdom-centred
life and living for the well being of others is key to maintaining the flow of
God’s blessings in our lives.
Jesus
is Lord!
